trueburger's location on broadway has closed

in good news for trueburger oakland fans (and there are many) – the original location for the burger shop at 146 grand avenue in oakland remains open. folks can and should visit the 16-year-old trueburger flagship for some of oakland's favorite burgers, milkshakes and fries.

however, after 11 years in temescal near piedmont, the group's second location at 4101 broadway in oakland has closed, as of this weekend. the team closed the broadway trueburger yesterday, june 13, as confirmed with berkeley eats and posted in an instagram announcement to customers.

'our original location at 146 grand ave, open since 2010, remains open and is now our only focus.' said the post. 'like many independent oakland businesses, we’ve had a lot of challenges, but the good news is, we’re still here and proud to call oakland home.'

'we’re all just feeling overwhelmingly grateful to the faithful community support over the decade that we’ve had the privilege to serve,' trueburger management said to berkeley eats. 'we will continue to do so at our grand location.'
