simply sweet bakes, next gen of it's all good
here's a sweet piece of news for folks still missing the now-closed it's all good bakery: a daughter of that long-loved oakland baking family is now carrying on the family legacy.
after years learning the ropes from her parents, including her dad k-cloud, the oakland-born rapper-artist-baker-entrepreneur who opened it's all good in 1996, next-gen baker and former it's all good operations manager terrae kornegay has launched simply sweet bakes, an oakland-based cottage business operating via online ordering directly through the website as well as from hotplate.
on offer: small batches of kornegay's own signature baked goods, including sea salt brown butter chocolate chip cookies, custom cakes and cupcakes such as her rich, subtle lemon lavender, and nostalgic cakes adapted for simply sweet bakes from it's all good family recipes, including the group's very popular (and missed) 7up pound cake.

as kornegay grows her business, she hopes to continue to explore both new and vintage recipes, and is currently test-baking select small-batch versions of her family's legacy cakes for future drops, including german chocolate cake and sweet potato cake. she also has her own fresh way with floral and other whimsical and custom cake decorations. check out examples on simply sweet's instagram.
simply sweet bakes cakes, cupcakes, cookies and other baked goods are available through online orders and via hotplate.
