olfactory has closed

olfactory brewing's flagship san francisco location closed back in december, and last night we spotted the chairs up and lights off at their second location, olfactory berkeley.

a one-word note on the craft brewery and taproom's instagram page says the location has closed, and the website for the business is no longer active.

olfactory, from a team of craft beer industry veterans, first opened in san francisco's dogpatch neighborhood in 2022; the cozy berkeley location opened in the former pacific standard bar space in 2024, and was an easygoing downtown hangout for balanced brews and the occasional bite. for a while it even served as a pop-up locale for delirama sandwiches (now krispy joe's).

olfactory berkeley was at 2055 center street in berkeley and has permanently closed.
