delirama jr. now to open as krispy joe's coffee house

as some may have seen on instagram or over at the e'ville eye, pastrami pirate cash caris, known for former jack london square and solano avenue favorite delirama, has opted against opening delirama jr. at 5512 san pablo avenue in north oakland's golden gate district.

instead, given the constrictions of the space (and needs of the neighborhood), he will pivot to coffee, "brewed for dreamers, doers and the shipwrecked."

krispy joe's, set to open august 2, will feature craft coffee drinks "with intention," including customized pour-overs and flash-brewed "fogline toddies" steamed or chilled with milk and house-made syrups.

"and if you’re hungry, you’ll still be able to get something that hits," cash told us. "pastrami hand pies, bagels, grab-and-go sandwiches — offerings that work within this space and this model."
